The iFiber Optix MTRJ Universal Visual Fault Locator is ideal for both singlemode and multimode MTRJ patchcord/ cable plant inspection. Breaks, bad splices, tight crimps, faulty splice and bad connection can be identified by means of red laser emitting from VFL.
The MTRJ Universal Fault Locator incorporates a male MTRJ receptacle wit guide pin. Laser (650nm) is employed as the MTRJ receptacle output , which provides visability of up to 5km. The laser is driven by an automatic power control circuit, which eliminates the degradation of output power due
to aging as well as temperature effect. Each of the two optical fibers in the MTRJ receptacle can be turned on/off individually. It features a choice of continuous wave (CW) and modulated (1Hz) operations, which provides users an alternate way to identify faults in the individual fiber.
